JEE-O completes line with touchless design 20-07-2022
The latest JEE-O launch proves that functionality and design can go hand in hand: the electronic wall basin tap. With this new touchless design, JEE-O responds to market demand, specifically from project developers and architects.
Models
The electronic wall basin mixer has a 90-degree outlet and is already available in the slimline series. The mixer taps come in brushed stainless steel, structured black, bronze and gold. The subtle and minimalist design of the slimline series makes it easy to combine with the other JEE-O designs.
More to follow
And there's good news for those wanting to stay in the same line. In the last quarter of this year, the touchless wall basin mixer will also be introduced to the soho and pure series. The soho electronic wall basin tap will be available in stainless steel RAW and hammercoated black. And the pure series will be extended with an electronic wall basin tap in brushed stainless steel, bronze and gold.
So far nothing new, but fancy
The technology is obviously not new. It is hygienic and water efficient and perfectly reflects the current zeitgeist. But the fact that, besides functionality, the high-end design remains intact is unique. And that of the high-quality materials like stainless steel. Stunningly beautiful and super strong.
Technology in a tap
JEE-O thus responds to demand from the B2B market. Various project developers and architects are incorporating the JEE-O product designs in their designs. The fact that this technology has now also been incorporated in 3 JEE-O series completes the design. Sensor taps are ideal for public spaces, toilet areas, hotels, office environments and much more. Wherever a lot of water is used, where hygiene is important, but above all, where a luxurious design concept is required.

JEE-O presents the cone series by Osiris Hertman
JEE-O and designer Osiris Hertman are jointly launching a new collection: the cone series. The cone series is to be introduced very soon, at the ISH in Frankfurt in fact, the world’s most important sanitary fair.
The cone series is the perfect balance of playfulness and boldness. From a distance, the design seems elementary, but a closer look reveals unusual details and an elegant finish, expressing the craftsmanship Osiris always seeks in his designs.
Osiris believes that, while we should be careful in our use of water, we can still enjoy it. Our bathrooms are gradually becoming places of relaxation, often with seats, music, plants, and if there is enough space, saunas, fireplaces and pretty views. They are now spaces to be enjoyed and to recharge so we can deal with a world that is much busier and more demanding than ever before. Good indoor spaces should have the same ambience as our natural surroundings and provide peace and quiet.
Treasured designsThe conical shape, the basis for this series, can be found in the smallest details. The handles are modelled on safe doors - after all, water is a precious commodity. At the same time, the designs bring allure to your home, a notion that is held dear by JEE-O too.
To JEE-O, the design is paramount, the essence of our product. A thorough look reveals cones in all the components. Our cone series consists of freestanding showers, a freestanding bath mixer, wall and ceiling showers, wall and top mounted basin mixers, a bath and basins. The collection is made from stainless steel with a structured black finish while the baths and basins are made from DADOquartz.
A platform for designersJEE-O is a platform for designers. Our cone series is our fourth collection to be designed by a top designer. Our award-winning soho series by Grand & Johnson was introduced in 2015, followed two years later by Brian Sironi’s flow series while the bloom series by Edward van Vliet was launched in 2018.
About JEE-OJEE-O brings beautiful design and functionality together in bathroom concepts. But it doesn’t stop at bathrooms. The JEE-O designs also fit perfectly into the rest of the home, such as the kitchen, the sauna, near the pool, or on the beach. JEE-O is minimalistic and innovative with a cosmopolitan character. Bold and striking, but with a refined touch: JEE-O creates concepts with space for body and mind, always in an atmosphere of functional luxury.
About Osiris HertmanAfter attending Eindhoven’s Design Academy, Osiris Hertman went to work for Marcel Wanders as a designer. Having left to set up his own studio, he focuses on interior designs, accessories and the Buddha to Buddha brand of hand-made silver jewellery. His background in product design is revealed in his love for artisanal materials and products. With the Osiris Hertman Studio, he works on projects everywhere, from the Netherlands to Moscow and from Indonesia to Monaco.
Note for the editor, not for publicationBoth Osiris Hertman and Lammert Moerman will be attending the ISH in Frankfurt. JEE-O’s exhibit will be in hall 3.0, booth E60. We would be happy to arrange interviews at the ISH, but need to schedule them in advance, so please get in touch with Hannah El Fassi at hannah@fnke.nl or ring +31 648 499 302. Following the resounding success of the robust and minimalistic soho series, JEE-O is introducing the soho RAW series: soho in its rawest form. RAW is the pure form of the soho series and consists of brushed stainless steel. Aside from the RAW look, the products in the soho line now are also available in powder coated mat green and grey for the first time.
The soho collection originally consists of sturdy design faucets and showers made from stainless steel and finished with a dark hammer scale coating. Design without fuss with a single accent. Rounded shapes make the design friendly and accessible. The black coating has been eliminated in the RAW series, which even further reinforces the industrial appearance.
Soho with some colour
Aside from the new RAW implementation and the original black series, JEE-O is also introducing two other hip colours: powder coated mat green and grey. Timeless colours, yet contemporary. They are consistent with the trend that allows colours to be present in the bathroom as well. This is entirely in line with the vision of Lammert Moerman, JEE-O Creative Director and Owner: "Design has permeated all facets of our lives. In the JEE-O vision, the bathroom is the last hurdle for which often there still is no room for beautiful design. While starting and finishing the day surrounded by tremendous products gives you an enormous boost."The bath mixer, basin mixer/kitchen faucet, bidet mixer, wall mounted basin mixer, wall mounted hand shower, ceiling mounted shower head and accessories from the collection are from now on also available in the RAW version and in the mat green and grey colours.
Dutch design
The soho series is the result of a collaborative effort between JEE-O and the Amsterdam designer duo Grand & Johnson; two creative heavy weights who in terms of style are a match made in heaven with JEE-O. Together they know how to shape maximised minimalism. The JEE-O soho 01 shower, the very first joint design, in 2014 won a RedDot Design Award and in 2016 the German Design Award.

JEE-O and Edward van Vliet present the bloom series
Together with the well-known Dutch interior designer Edward van Vliet, JEE-O has designed a stylish bathroom collection: the bloom series. Like all designs of the top designer, the refined collection was inspired by nature and geometry. The bloom series will be on display for the first time during the Salone del Mobile in Milan.
Van Vliet’s love of nature and geometrical shapes is reflected in the smooth transition from facet to round shapes in the design of the baths and basins, and in the hexagonal-shaped faucet heads and handles. A sunflower served as inspiration for the shower head.
Creating worldsThe timeless bloom collection includes all the elements for optimum bathroom enjoyment: a bath, top mounted and freestanding basins, a ceiling shower and wall shower, and accessories. Designed with care and vision, they are all eye-catchers with international allure to suit any bathroom.
“I think it is important to have a bathroom where everything is coordinated. The bath and the shower must be generous. It’s all about creating worlds. Apart from the fact that everything has to function properly, my aim is to enable people to fully embrace the world of water.”
Edward Van Vliet Unique bathroomsLammert Moerman, creative mastermind behind JEE-O, is proud of the bloom series. He believes that this collection makes the concept of unique bathrooms that JEE-O represents complete. “The bloom series is very different to anything I have ever done before. The other JEE-O collections have a very industrial and robust character. The design of the bloom series is less inhibited and more frivolous. This means a new direction for JEE-O.”
The collaboration between Van Vliet and JEE-O dates back to 2016 when Van Vliet visited JEE-O at the vt wonen&design exhibition. “I saw JEE-O’s products and thought that I would fit in well with JEE-O’s portfolio. Not long afterwards Lammert came to see me at my studio in Amsterdam.”
JEE-O’s style versus Edward van VlietDuring the design process Moerman and Van Vliet met each other halfway. Moerman: “JEE-O’s style is quite industrial, but very energetic and innovating. Edward’s style is more playful. We managed to draw him a little more towards our side. The result is very different to what I have done so far.”
Natural materialsFor the design of the bloom collection, Van Vliet, who loves to work with natural materials, anticipated the production process of JEE-O in South Africa. The baths and basins are made in South Africa from the extremely strong DADOquartz, a combination of quartz crystals and resin.
The faucets are made of stainless steel and have had a PVD treatment. This is a special surface treatment for an attractive gunmetal look. “JEE-O and I are still looking to see whether we can expand the collection with wooden bathroom furniture and porcelain cups. But that is something for after the exhibition in Milan”, says Van Vliet.

JEE-O expands its widely praised flow series
JEE-O has expanded on its flow series, which was designed by Italian top designer Brian Sironi, with a stylish wall shower and tap. With these additions, the collection is complete. The comprehensive flow series can be admired at the Itlas stand of this year’s Salone del Mobile in Milan.
It is not the first time that JEE-O are adding new bathroom elements to Sironi’s collection. Last year, the Amsterdam designer duo Grand & Johnson took up the challenge to design a bath and basins for the series.
The shape of water
The starting point for Sironi’s already iconic and widely praised design for the flow series is the shape that water takes on from the object in which it sits. Until the water flows from the faucet and is free to take on any shape, it is moulded by the shape of the pipes through which it runs. Pipes that are usually not visible as they are hidden behind walls and underneath floors.
Female tap
The faucets from the flow series make the pipes visible and let them continue into the bathroom. It was designer Sironi’s wish to design a female faucet; this meant that the spout had to go. The result is a faucet with a soft, flowing line and round shapes from which the water emerges in a surprising manner.

Oher collections by JEE-O are the new bloom series, which was created by Dutch interior designer Edward van Vliet, and the soho series, a result of the collaboration between JEE-O and the Amsterdam designer duo Grand & Johnson.
About Brian Sironi
Italian designer Brian Sironi combines industrial design with an artisanal approach. In his projects, he focuses on pure shapes and researching typologies and archetypes. Sironi is one of the youngest designers ever to win the Compasso d’Oro ADI award. He won this prestigious award for his Elica lamp, which was produced by Martinelli Luce in 2011.

JEE-O and Brian Sironi present the new flow series
JEE-O worked in close collaboration with Italian top designer Brian Sironi to develop a new collection: the flow series. This new series will have its world premiere at the Frankfurt ISH, the world’s most important sanitary facilities trade fair.
What is the shape of water?
Water takes on the shape of the object that contains it. That concept has been the starting point in designing the flow series. Up until the moment water flows from the faucet and is free to take on any shape, it has the shape of the pipes through which it flows. We rarely see the pipes; they are hidden away behind walls and under floors. These taps and mixers from the flow series reveal the piping, extending it into the bathroom.
Feminine lines
“Taps and mixers always consist of three parts: handle, spigot and that section that connects the two. That makes traditional mixers fairly masculine”, Brian explains. It was his intention to design a feminine mixer, which meant that the spigot had to go. All the non-essentials have been eliminated, resulting in flowing, smooth curved lines, from which water flows in a surprising way.
A new icon is born
After that email containing Brian’s initial sketches, JEE-O’s designer and owner Lammert Moerman flew straight to Milan to meet him. There was an immediate click with JEE-O. Brian’s sketches were minimalistic, functional and iconic, exactly the style Lammert pursues in his designs for JEE-O. Brian has called the flow series his best project so far, encompassing all of his opinions on design: pure and integrated shapes, minimalistic yet functional.
During the development of the mixers for the flow series, the need arose for a complete series that included baths. Amsterdam-based design duo Grand & Johnson embraced the challenge to design the baths for the flow series.
About JEE-O
JEE-O weds beautiful design to functionality in bathroom concepts. Extending beyond the bathroom, the designs by JEE-O also fit beautifully in the rest of the house, including the kitchen or sauna, by the swimming pool or on the beach. JEE-O has a minimalistic, innovative style with a cosmopolitan character. Bold and distinctive, yet refined: JEE-O creates concepts providing sufficient space for body and mind, always seeking an atmosphere of functional luxury.
2004 marks the birth of JEE-O, a creative concept by Lammert Moerman. The brand has grown immensely since that time; its selection of separate showers and baths, mixers and wash basins is currently available all across the globe. The JEE-O soho 01 shower won a Red Dot award and a German Design Award.
About Brian Sironi
Brian Sironi lives in Italy, between Brianza and Milan. He combines industrial design with an artisanal approach. In his projects, he has a clear focus on pure shapes and an in-depth perspective on exploring typologies and archetypes. In 2010, Brian was selected to exhibit as part of the The New Italian Design Reloaded show in the Triennale di Milano Museum. He is one of the youngest designers ever to have received the prestigious Compasso d’Oro ADI award for the Elica lamp, produced by Martinelli Luce in 2011. In addition to JEE-O, Brian also collaborates with Antonio Lupi, Bitossi Ceramiche, Budri and Albed.

2016 German Design Award to Dutch Design
After winning the Red Dot Design Award in 2014, the soho 01 shower by JEE-O has now also won the 2016 German Design Award for the Bath and Wellness category. JEE-O’s soho collection is the result of a collaboration with the Amsterdam-based design studio, Grand & Johnson. Since 2012, the German Design Award recognizes pioneering international designs selected by a professional jury of the Rat für Formgebung, the German Design Council. The award will be presented on 12 February 2016, during a large-scale show at the Ambiente lifestyle fair in Frankfurt.
As Lammert Moerman, founder van JEE-O, reflects, “The German Design Award is one of the most prestigious prizes for design in the world. Audi, Vodafone and Volkswagen are previous winners. It is wonderful that we at JEE-O are now standing amongst them. Eleven years ago, when we began JEE-O in Nijmegen, who would have imagined this?”
soho: maximum minimalism by JEE-O and Grand & Johnson design
For their soho collection, JEE-O worked with the Grand & Johnson design studio in Amsterdam. Bertel Grote and Jeroom Jansen have more than 20 years of combined experience in creating high-end interiors, both in and beyond the Netherlands. Their style perfectly suits the DNA of JEE-O: spectacular but sober. Together, JEE-O and Grand & Johnson are creative cosmopolitans who give shape to maximum minimalism.
International recognition for Dutch design by JEE-O
What makes the German Design Award so exceptional begins with the competition requirements. The design must have already won a national or international design award. In addition, a brand cannot nominate their own product, but must have attracted the attention of the professional jury. “The jury saw us at the ISH bathroom fair in Frankfurt. Being nominated was already a fabulous honour. The fact that we have also won the award is fantastic – such great recognition for Dutch design!”
Worldwide success for JEE-O
The JEE-O brand is today distributed in nearly 30 countries around the world. In addition to the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium, as well as Austria and Switzerland, in the last few years, America, Israel, Australia and New Zealand have also become important customers. Lammert Moerman travels a great deal. “It is always exciting to express my enthusiasm for JEE-O, to distributors, dealers, shopkeepers and consumers. We want to spread our DNA everywhere.”
Today, Lammert Moerman proudly reports that Brazil, Italy, Japan, England, several Eastern European countries and Turkey have now all joined the JEE-O market community. “I am delighted that the cosmopolitan character of JEE-O has such worldwide appeal, for home bathrooms as well as in prestigious wellness and hotel projects, such as the recently completed rooftop shower at the W Hotel in Amsterdam and Silversand Hotels in the Maldives. We have already realized an impressive list of wonderful projects.
“If I look back over the last 11 years, there have been several milestones," says Lammert Moerman. “We began with freestanding showers. My first design was the JEE-O Original, which is still in our collection. In ten years, we grew from a single shower to total bathroom concepts. Today, JEE-O produces faucets, sinks, bath fillers and showers for interiors and outdoors. For me personally, other milestones were our introduction to the American market some three years ago and our rapid internationalization. We have won international awards, such as the prestigious Red Dot Award for our freestanding soho shower, which can be installed either indoors or outdoors. And now we can add the German Design Award.”
Working together with other creatives has been a great experience, and JEE-O will be doing more of it. As Lammert Moerman explains, “JEE-O also wants to serve as a platform for designers, a technical link link for successfully turning ideas and sketches into concrete products.
Lammert Moerman is rightly proud of what his Dutch brand has achieved. “In the years to come, we will continue to build on being a top, internationally respected brand. In addition, we especially want to be and to remain accessible to a wide group of people: distinctive in design, high-quality and durable, but without all the extra fuss.”

Black beauties: soho collection from JEE-O is complete
The soho collection from JEE-O is now complete. In addition to the freestanding shower, the collection now includes a bath mixer and a wall faucet. The soho trio have a sturdy, stark form, and the black hammer coating gives the robust designs the right look. Industrial and pure, soho is a statement. These black beauties create a singular experience in the bathroom with design that delights the senses.
SoHo is a vibrant neighborhood in cosmopolitan New York. It is a dynamic melting pot of cultures and styles, and home to countless industrial loft apartments, many of which are austere and stark in their design. The soho collection from JEE-O is characterized by the same simplicity. Less is more. All unnecessary clutter has been removed from the rock-solid shower. The robust coating asks to be touched, and is fully in keeping with the sturdy design. The mixer handle stands out, and is operated intuitively in the same way as a joystick. The handle's tactile rubber coating also looks and feels sensational. With or without the handshower option, this eye-catching shower is suitable for use both indoors and out. In combination with the 365 all weather frost free option, the soho shower can be used outdoors all year round. The shower won a Red Dot Award for product design earlier this year.
Bold faucets
Like the shower, the soho bath mixer and wall faucet are made from stainless steel, and are finished with a dark hammer coating. The freestanding bath mixer is designed to be mounted on the floor next to the bathtub, and is operated by a single lever mixer. The high spout has a similar design to the showerhead, and the projecting single lever mixer is used as handle. The bath mixer has a separate handshower with an understated, slender head. A stark two-hole wall faucet completes the soho collection. The characteristic handle with its single-lever action is located to the right of the wall faucet. The flow and temperature of the water can be adjusted in a single fluid movement, thanks to the one-move cartridge in the faucet mechanism. It is advanced technology of this kind that sets JEE-O apart at a national and international level.
Black and white
The black soho collection is particularly well-suited for use in combination with white sanitary fixtures. The combination of black and white is a classic one that always looks contemporary. Take, for instance, the Angela bathtub with extra thick edges, and the Mango basin with its fluid design. They complement perfectly the industrial, robust look of the soho collection. Angela and Mango are made from DADOquartz, an innovative composite material consisting of resin and quartz. The material is silky smooth to the touch, and maintains the temperature of the bathwater for longer. It is resistant to stains, scratches and bacterial growth, and is colorfast.
Grand & Johnson
JEE-O has developed the soho collection in collaboration with the Amsterdam-based design studio Grand & Johnson. Between them, Bertel Grote and Jeroom Jansen have over 20 years’ experience in creating high-end interiors in many countries, including the Netherlands.
