JEE-O introduces the IZI – plug & play portable outdoor shower

Outdoor showers are traditionally fixed installations or temporary solutions. The IZI brings together high-end quality and design with the freedom to connect easily to a garden hose for instant use. It combines the aesthetics and quality that JEE-O is known for, vested in more than twenty years of expertise in outdoor showering.

The IZI design originates from a meeting between designer Ruben van Megen and JEE-O founder Lammert Moerman during a previous edition of ICFF in New York.

Van Megen is known for his experimental approach to material and form. Fascinated by sand, he develops collectible design objects in which transient material is transformed into something lasting. The sandcastles of his childhood serve as a key source of inspiration: what appears temporary is translated into durable design. His work has gained international recognition and has been awarded multiple design prizes.

“Sand has something temporary about it,” says Van Megen. “It shifts, disappears, constantly changes. In my work, I try to transform that fleeting quality into something permanent. With IZI, that material gains a new context: an object that lives and is used outdoors.”

For JEE-O, the collaboration aligns seamlessly with the brand’s DNA. For more than twenty years, the company has been developing freestanding outdoor showers and collaborating with designers to bring together technology, form, and experience across its product lines.

“Design and collaboration with designers are at the core of JEE-O,” says founder Lammert Moerman. “Drawing on more than twenty years of expertise in outdoor showers, we were able to translate Ruben’s material concept into a product that is both practical and unique. With IZI, we combine the convenience of plug & play with the signature quality and design of JEE-O.”

The collaboration results in IZI: an outdoor shower in which sand composite, high-quality stainless steel, and a clear sculptural form come together in a robust design that is ready for use.

The IZI is designed for outdoor spaces where aesthetics and functionality go hand in hand. In gardens, terraces, rooftop spaces or beach locations wherever water is an integral part of the design. In particular, for those who see outdoor living as a lifestyle: design enthusiasts, athletes, and anyone who values freedom, aesthetics, and ease of use.

The shower connects directly to the outdoor tap via a universal garden hose coupling (such as Gardena), making it usable without fixed installation—a new approach within the premium outdoor segment. Design is IZI, water is everywhere.

The sculptural base and control knob of IZI are crafted from a unique sand composite, giving the object an organic, tactile character. A design that is not only practical but also evokes a sense of fun, freedom, and outdoor living.

IZI is available in several finishes: Ocean (brushed stainless steel), Beach (sand-colored finish), and Paint (eight contemporary colors). Made from durable stainless steel, sand composite, and featuring a high-quality internal mechanism, IZI is designed for years of joyfull outdoor showering.
